Flash fiction is like literature for those with ADHD. According to wiki, it is "a style of fictional literature or fiction of extreme brevity."
Here are two of my attempts at Drabbles - that is, works of exactly 100 words.

“Pink shirt, aye?”
Miles looked up from where he lay slumped in his bed. “What?"
“New look?"
He raised an eyebrow at the man in his doorway. “Dad?"
Lionel paused. “It’s quite bright, that’s all."
Miles stared. “And?”
“Nothing. It’s just out there, I guess. Not what I’m used to.”
Miles looked away. He glanced at his mirror. Post-it notes were dotted around the reflection of his crimson shirt.

Miles rolled over and stared at the wall. “I’m not gay, Dad."
Lionel stood still.
“Never said you were, son. Never said you were.”

I stood up and slumped back into my swivel chair. Exercise is overrated. I turned to the glowing screen on my desk. Click. Facebook. Click. YouTube. Click.
Forty minutes passed.
I paused. Was that something outside? I kicked the stereo, cutting the music. Silence.
I walked out to the front door and pulled it open.
But there was no-one there.
So I walked back.
